Casillero del Diablo – viinien nimi on lähtöisin yli 100 vuoden takaa. Viinitalon omistaja Don Melchor de Concha y Toro otti tuottamistaan viineistään talteen itselleen parhaat ja varastoi ne omaan yksityiseen kellariinsa. Suojellakseen viinejään varkailta hän alkoi levittää huhua kellarissa asuvasta paholaisesta. Tästä on peräisin viinien nimi – Casillero del Diablo, suomeksi ”Pirunkellari”.

Casillero del Diablo on tunnetuin chileläinen viinimerkki maailmalla.

Rypäleet on kerätty Central Valleyn alueelta. 35 % viinistä on käynyt ja kypsynyt ranskalaisissa tammitynnyreissä. 65 % viinistä kypsyi terästankeissa 6-8 kk ajan.

Väri, tuoksu & maku:

Kalpean keltainen väri. Tuoksu on raikas ja hedelmäinen, jossa on herkkää vaniljaa, kuivattuja hedelmiä, hasselpähkinää ja paahteisuutta. Kuiva, maku on hyvä yhdistelmä hedelmäisyyttä ja tammen tuomia aromeja. Mukavat hapot, raikas ja elegantti viini.
